Lifestyle Product: La Ceiba Botanical Skincare

Over the past 3 years of running my photography business, I’ve worked with a lot of other business owners in Toronto. I had the opportunity to shoot some lifestyle product photography for La Ceiba Botanical Skincare. This company is a one-woman show. She develops the products, packages them and markets them on her own.

The first step in working together is the pre-production stage, aka planning. I make sure we create a shoot brief, which includes the concept, a shot list, prop list and mood board. This ensures that we have a game plan to maximize our time and to get all the shots needed.

Simple Homemade Christmas Decorations

Two years ago, I built a Christmas photoshoot set for a fundraiser and it was a huge success. My idea was to create a minimalist living room scene. All the decorations were simple and easy to put together.

I hope these ideas will give you inspiration to make your own low-waste and reusable decorations that you can reuse and repurpose year after year. I’d love to hear your ideas so feel free to share them below in the comments!

Empty boxes (like Amazon boxes) were wrapped in craft paper and finished off with some string, a tag and some real greenery (pine needles, rosemary sprigs, evergreen leaves, etc.)

For a bit of ambiance, some fairy lights were added but other Christmas lights could work as well.

Books were wrapped in craft paper and stacked together.

Real greenery can be used as small details.

Business branding portraits are a great tool for connecting with potential clients. You can use these images to promote your brand in an approachable way. They can also be used for your website, social media or other marketing assets.

Interior: Bright and Open Kitchen (Creative Design Therapy)

Kitchen Relocation and Transformation

This beautiful kitchen was relocated from another part of the house and completely rebuilt from the ground up. Creative Design Therapy created a kitchen that is open, spacious and seamlessly flows into the dining area. The window on one side of the kitchen and the backyard sliding doors on the other allows for light to fill the room.
