Creating a tablescape doesn’t have to be complicated. With a couple of additions, you can put together a styled setup:
Layers: Use different sized plates to create a bit of dimension. Alternatively, placemats could work but I prefer not to use them.
Functional accessories: A dinner napkin or, for a special occasion, a printed menu placed in the centre of each setting. Maybe even a little chocolate.
With neutral colours and patterns, you can easily mix and match linens, plates and flatware.
This large master bathroom underwent a transformation and not only does it look bright and modern, it looks even more spacious than it was before the renovation. Leann Ban Interiors chose a monochromatic colour palette and added accent hardware like the light fixture above the vanity. The matte black hardware and dark vanity contrast the rest of the bathroom.
While there is already a lot of natural light coming in through the windows, the large mirror above the vanity helps to reflect back some of that light and keeps the room evenly lit.
Take a look at the before and after photos of the renovation.

Leann Ban Interiors describes her style as minimal and streamlined. She uses neutral colours and adds subtle accessories to tie the room together. In this family room, there is a good amount of natural light so to contrast this, she created a dark accent wall. It also doubles as a dark background so the television blends in.

This semi-detached house was turned into a minimalistic modern home. The entire house was transformed, from the interior to the exterior. In addition to gutting the entire home, an extension was added to the back to create more space.
In the spacious master bedroom, a large window was installed to allow for a lot of natural light in and to overlook the backyard while being shaded by a large tree.
