Interior: Master Bathroom (Leann Ban Interiors)

This bathroom underwent a transformation and not only does it look bright and modern, it looks even more spacious than it was. Leann Ban Interiors chose a monochromatic colour palette and added accent hardware like the light fixture above the vanity. Just take a look at the photo the renovation to see the difference.

I enjoy photographing in a relaxed setting and my goal at every shoot is create that environment. I get it, it’s nerve-racking to be in front of the camera for many, if not most, people so I keep the mood light, fun and casual. This was one of my favourites from @drsindyshin’s lifestyle branding session 😊
Yesterday, a little DIY project. Today, an IKEA showroom come to life. There used to be a wall separating the kitchen from the living room (off camera to the left), but my friend wanted to take it out so that it’d be better for entertaining since he likes to cook and is great at it. He did pretty much all the renovations himself and now the kitchen is completely open and bright 😍 ⠀  And then I photographed a lifestyle series there. Swipe through to see a few favourites 👉🏻
I “built” this backsplash for a shoot and it turned out pretty well. And by “built”, I mean I bought a big MDF board from @homedepot and a pack of peel and stick tiles from Amazon 😎 ⠀  Materials: • MDF board ($8): 2x4 feet (60cm x 122cm), 1/4 inch thick (0.635cm) • Peel and stick tiles ($43): Pack of 10-sheet 12” x 12” (30cm x 30cm)
Who else started off the day with a mildly stressful morning trying to get Hamilton tickets? 🙋🏻‍♀️ I’ve shared how I usually prepare for big ticket sales like this, but in case you’re interested, here it is again: ⠀ 1️⃣ If you don’t already have an account with the ticket vendor, sign up beforehand. ⠀ 2️⃣ On the morning of before the queue starts, open multiple tabs (I also use different browsers) with In Cognito/Private tabs with the ticket page open. Also, have your credit card ready. ⠀ 3️⃣ Have an idea of the date/time/price you’re aiming to get tickets for, but be flexible because options are limited. ⠀ 4️⃣ When the queue opens, if you’re in the 10,000th place or below, that’s generally pretty good. Between 10-20k is ok too for a big production like this. ⠀ 5️⃣ Once it’s your turn, don’t click around too much to find a better date/seat. The slow load times are frustrating and you only get 15 minutes. If all goes well, then congrats on your tickets! 🥳 ⠀ We were lucky to get good spots in the queue, but because so many people were on the site, things were loading really slowly. I had just a mere 3 seconds left on the countdown clock for my order to go through 😐 ⠀ If you have any more tips, please share them! Hope that helps! 😊 ⠀ Side note: Have you seen this Chinese Lantern plant before??🏮It’s a real plant!
In high school, I was someone who had to pack my backpack the night before so I could grab my bag and run out the door to maximize every minute of sleep. There’s nothing like forgetting your gym clothes or textbooks enough times to learn this lesson quickly 😂 ⠀  Now, when I have a shoot where I need all the extra little things like batteries, memory cards, cables, etc., I have to pack my gear the night before so I don’t forget anything. ⠀  I photographed this space-saving command centre that @1smallspace created to keeps things organized. This is perfect for homes that don’t have a designated entryway or foyer because of its slim profile. We got rid of our dining table recently, but here’s how I would’ve set the hypothetical table for guests🙊: ⠀  1) Layers: Use different sized plates to create a bit of dimension. Alternatively, placemats could work but I prefer not to use them. ⠀  2) Functional accessories: A dinner napkin or, for a special occasion, a printed menu placed in the centre of each setting. Maybe even a little chocolate. ⠀ Of course, that’s not something I’d do regularly. And in case you’re wondering, we don’t miss the dining table at all. We never ate there anyway 😂
