When I photograph interior design projects, I collect inspiration from them even if they’re kids’ rooms. Esther of This Wild Heart thoughtfully designed this room for her toddler and some of my favourite things are the bed and wooden toys.

On top of photographing a business owner’s beautiful work, I love getting to know the story behind their work. Anh, the founder of Mim Concept (@mimconcept), left her job as an architect to start her own company designing a set of modern mid century-inspired furniture.
Here’s one of those pieces we photographed from her newest collection, the Xavier O’Noir. This black leather sofa has an added feature that many of us could use. Take a look below to see what it is and get a peek into some of the other pieces of the new collection.

Jennifer McLean Interiors designed this beautiful minimalist 4-piece bathroom, choosing matte black hardware for the tub and shower. She finished off the room by styling it with a fresh coastal theme.
