Digital vs Film

It took a year (maybe even 2) to finish my first roll of film shot on a Nikon FM2, but throughout that roll, I wanted to do a side-by-side comparison between film vs digital images.

Now I'm not an expert at film emulation but I tried to get them as close as possible. The first 2 were shot on Fuji Superia 400 and the last one was on Kodak Portra 400.

Comment below if you can tell which one was shot on film and which was shot on digital :)

Food: Chocolates

I love chocolate (just about any kind will do) but it's always a special treat to try handmade chocolate. Chocolates x Brandon Olsen (CXBO) is a little shop in Toronto that makes cute morsels of art. They're so beautiful I almost can't bring myself to eat them. Almost.

Flavours in this box: Cinnamon, Brown Butter // Orange Blossom, Honey // Pistachio, Orange, Bergamot // Sherry, Milk Chocolate // Lime, Ginger, Black Pepper // Cherry, Vanilla // Salted Caramel // Raspberry, Rose, Fennel // Yuzu, Sake

Lifestyle: Reform Merchant Flatware

I styled and photographed these beautiful flatware sets from Australian-based Reform Merchant and I think it was one of my favourite shoots. It was minimalist, clean and simple which is exactly what I love to photograph.

Each set includes with 4 pieces (spoon, mini spoon, fork and knife) and they come in gold, black and rose gold. They're sturdy and weighted so they won't bend when you're using them.

Solid 18/10 stainless steel with a beautiful brushed finish

Lifestyle: JR Authentics

Working with baby and puppy models is really more like a workout. There's lots of jumping and moving around and by the end, I've worked up a sweat. But it's worth it. Every moment is significant because when it comes to kids, those moments goes by fast and you can't get those precious early years back.

My creative friends over at JR Authentics started an organic baby clothing company where their newest designs feature cute handlettering by our talented friend, Doris of Love Lettering

This super cute little guy volunteered (ok, his photographer aunt did) to model this latest collection and I'd say he did pretty well for his first modelling gig :)
