Who would’ve known that many years after we first met in elementary school that we would have the opportunity to work together and support each other’s businesses. I'm so proud to see how far she's come and can't wait to see where she'll take it.

Interior: Wendake Beach House
The Wendake Beach House is a beautiful cottage in the Township of Tiny, Ontario. It is spacious with 4 bedrooms, 5 beds + 1 crib and 2 bathrooms with showers. The kitchen, dining area and living room are open concept and full of natural light (pictured above).
There is a full kitchen and a BBQ on the deck along with 2 outdoor dining areas. For kids, there is a small play area with toys and books. A firepit in the backyard is perfect for roasting marshmallows and stargazing at night.
Our host, Denise, was hospitable and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. She provided us with locally roasted coffee beans and locally brewed beer which was a nice treat.

In this second installment of my behind-the-scenes series of Extraordinary Hand Lettering, I wanted to show how few tools Doris needed to create this lettered mirror. There were only 8 items she used in the project and that included her original sketch. With just a handful of the right tools, she's able to turn a simple mirror into a personalized piece of decor that can be gifted.
