Recipe: Simple Onion Soup

INGREDIENTS

  • Oil
  • 2 onions (1 large serving, 2 small servings)
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • Broth (beef, chicken or vegetable) 
  • Day old bread and slices of baguette
  • Cheese
  • Optional: Herbs like rosemary, bay leaf

PREPARATION

  • Thinly slice the onions
  • Cube bread into 2cm blocks 
  • Slice baguette

STEPS

  1. SautΓ© garlic in oil until lightly browned.
  2. Carmelize onions on medium heat until deep brown (around 20-25min). Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Add broth and bring to simmer. 
  4. Meanwhile, toast bread cubes. and baguette slices with grated cheese on top.

This kitchenette was designed with a specific person in mind for convenience and safety.

It’s great for people who have reduced mobility, but everyone can make use of it especially at night. No need to walk downstairs to get water or a snack ☺
This bathroom is a special one because it was designed by @creativedesigntherapy to be more accessible. I loved photographing it and I hope to see more inclusive design like this.
