Commercial: Mim Concept

Mim Concept is a modern furniture company founded and based in Toronto. Their pieces are manufactured in one factory in Binh Southern Vietnam.

Each piece has its own story. Founder and designer Anh Ly shares the inspiration and origin behind the new headboard, named Salvatore.

Anh and I have worked together on multiple photoshoots and every time, I learn something new about the process of furniture design. I’m always impressed with her work ethic and grit. If you’re looking for mid-century modern-inspired furniture, check out Mim Concept.

Interior: Rida Interiors (Bright, open kitchen)

Rida of Rida Interiors redesigned this kitchen to create a better space for the homeowners to entertain.

There was no kitchen island before and a wall separated the dining room and kitchen, blocking off the two areas. Now, the family and guests can flow in and out of the kitchen seamlessly.

The kitchen is much brighter now with new white cabinetry. More light streams into the kitchen from the dining room on the right now that a wall has been removed.

A wall used to stand here, between the dining room and kitchen. Now, both spaces are opened up.

Food and drink: Maru Bistro

Maru Bistro is a Japanese restaurant using French techniques located in Leslieville, a neighbourhood in the east end of Toronto. Before I worked with them to create these beautiful photos, I had visited this restaurant multiple times. I enjoy the food, the casual ambiance, and the wonderful staff and I always look forward to coming back.

Feature: Apartment Therapy x The Apartment Life

Fiona of The Apartment Life was featured again on Apartment Therapy for her shower’s unique pink grout. She chose a bright and fun-coloured grout to go with her bold red hardware.

Interior: Christine Joseph Design (Modern primary bathroom)

Christine Joseph Design designed this modern primary bathroom to have large format tiles, a freestanding soaker tub, and custom cabinetry for a double vanity and lots of storage.

Glass separates the shower and toilet, both with their own doors.
